![]() Let our loving arms become the
caregiver as “close to home” as possible. We keep our adult to child ratio
low; as we recognize the need babies have for a great amount of love and
attention. Studies have proven that verbal stimulation increases a child's
vocabulary. Therefore, our caregivers will interact and speak with your
child just like you would. Infants will be held and talked to or sung
to during bottle-feeding times. Stories will be read to them daily to
encourage vocabulary. We know children learn by exploring and using all
their senses. We have developed areas to stimulate your child's growth
– such as bright, colorful, soft climbing mats for babies to crawl on
as they become mobile. We provide various toys for babies to handle, shake
and explore. Since we realize infants often explore with their mouths,
we have installed a sanitizing dishwasher, so we can safely disinfect
all the toys regularly in order to prevent the spreading of germs. Every
infant will be taken outdoors daily, weather permitting, for a walk in
our newest state-of-the-art stroller. The fresh air and outdoor stimulation
will promote their healthy growth. Your child will get adequate rest in
our isolated, quiet nap area. We are the next best thing to a loving mother's
presence. Your child will flourish in our nursery. Toddlers are very active and full of curiosity. They need a fun and safe place to express their fascination toward touch, taste, sight, hearing and smelling. Our fully-trained staff has developed learning centers designed to help them learn through their senses. These centers, where your supervised child will be free to roam and explore, will have weekly “themes” to encourage their thinking skills. We will use their desire to copy others toward developing their vocabulary and social skills. During daily group “circle times” we will introduce short finger plays and story time, which will also help enrich these two areas of development. Fine motor skills will be concentrated on in our art room, where your child will have an opportunity to be creative, while being taught basic pre-writing skills. Gross motor skills will be exercised daily during our “kid's fitness” program, both in our outdoor play area and full size gymnasium. Our staff is trained to recognize and work with your child's individual attention span and growth level, while at the same time lovingly encouraging their learning skills. The home-like atmosphere created in these classrooms and the attention your child receives will establish the perfect foundation your child needs. A child at this age is becoming aware of himself as an individual and enjoys doing things independently. Potty training will be introduced in this classroom. We will provide creative and inviting learning centers where the highly trained staff will direct your child's curiosity to a learning experience. Each week a theme will be introduced. The staff will help your child learn through exploring, while being mindful of their limited attention span. Fine motors skills will be expanded through teacher directed activities, such as scissors training, simple coloring, pasting and pre-writing skills, using pencil grips to develop proper pencil holding habits. We will introduce the concept of taking turns and will do small cooperative building activities to increase their social growth. Gross motor skills will be developed in our outdoor play area, along with our full-sized gymnasium and "kid's fitness" program. Recognizing a child's need for constant supervision, we maintain a low caregiver to child ratio. Your child's development will be greatly enhanced through this program. Children of this age group are more sociable and willing to conform. For these we provide small “circle-time” lessons to develop cooperation through group activities. At the same time, we will use our well-developed learning centers as an aid in directing their interest and curiosity. Qualified and trained staff will use the children's imagination and creativity to develop their knowledge and guide them in the learning process. They will be introduced to the letters of the alphabet, beginning phonics, counting, number recognition, calendar, and pre-writing and pre-math skills. Fine motor skills will be developed through coloring, painting, pasting, simple cutting and writing exercises. Gross motor skills will be developed through our “kid's fitness” program in our well-stocked, full-sized gymnasium and outdoor play area. They will experience a wide variety of both quiet and active play groups. This class will prove to be a valuable experience in the growth and development of your child.
This class, for the older preschooler, places more emphasis on the learning process. Students will be introduced to additional sophisticated, hands-on learning centers. We offer exciting, carefully researched programs. Your child will develop critical thinking skills and the social maturity needed for school years and beyond. This occurs through a combination of academic experiences, exploration, nurturing care, structure and positive guidance. He/she will be working on pre-kindergarten skills by being introduced to the alphabet, phonics, pre-reading skills, language arts, pre-math skills (including counting and simple addition), calendar, seasons, exploratory science, and beginning Spanish. Your child will have hands-on experience using a state-of-the-art computer center with dynamic and innovative age-appropriate software. Research has shown that children learn most effectively by doing, so we offer a wide variety of activities in our learning centers that have been specifically created to meet the developmental needs of the individual child. We will continue to enhance gross motor co-ordination through our “kid's fitness” program, with an opportunity to play in our outdoor play area and our full-sized gymnasium. Your child will be well prepared for the challenges of his/her early school years.
